He was widely recognized as the last remaining Disneyland Cast Member who had been hired directly by Walt Disney himself.

Born in New Orleans, McLean was an original member of the Royal Street Bachelors, a beloved jazz trio that performed daily on the streets and patios of New Orleans Square starting in 1966. He spent over 30 years filling the park with music before passing away in 2018 at the age of 92.
